Winter Sanctuary Retreat
Event
Join us on January 20, 2024 for an invigorating day of yoga, meditation, breathwork & relaxation. The retreat will be guided by Nina, the founder of Le Studio (see ‘our instructors’ for full bio) and Isabel Deich. Nina has been a yoga practitioner for the past 14 years and a teacher for 9 years. Her passion for movement & always wanting to evolve into the best version of herself, has transformed into her life’s purpose - helping people embody their full potential - mentally, physically, & spiritually. Combining over 800h of trainings and nine years of teaching experience, Nina has brought her own style & approach to this vinyasa (flow) class. You can expect meditation, chanting, music, challenging / creative sequences, and hands-on assists. She will answer any questions you may have and share her knowledge during a workshop style Q&A after class.
Isabel Deich started her passion in prevention of injuries through body mechanics and function after she graduated from McGill majoring in Physiotherapy and minoring in fitness. She compliments all her manual therapy treatments with exercise therapy and posture alignment. In 2011, she discovered yoga and pursued her studies. She received her yoga therapy certification in 2017. Since then, she combines her knowledge and experience in physiotherapy, fitness, and yoga to teach functional classes that are balanced physically, mentally and emotionally. She is presently finishing up her Barre certification with Body works which compliments her passion for dancing.
Isabel will teach a yin yoga class in the afternoon with a focus on diaphragmatic breathing. After this meditative practice, there will be a discussion on the connection between posture, breathing and pelvic floor. Yin Yoga is a slower flow, focusing on stretching of all connective tissues. This type of practice allow our bodies to give into gravity and work on our mental focus. The purpose is to to give in and to let go of physical and mental tension while working on self-awareness. We finish with a restorative pose to align our intentions, attentions and actions.
There will be free time during the day where you can enjoy walking in nature or on the frozen lake, resting & journalling and a thermal experience with access to sauna, steam bath, jacuzzi.
